Christopher Subryan

Christopher Subryan is a highly accomplished finance and accounting professional with over 27 years of experience spanning central banking, financial management, corporate governance and external audit.

He currently serves as Manager, Finance and Accounting at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (CBTT), a position he has held for the past 15 years. In this role, he provides strategic leadership across key financial functions for multiple entities, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll administration and statutory compliance, while overseeing the management of pension and savings plans. He also ensures adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and delivers critical financial insights and advisory support to executive leadership and the Board.

Throughout his tenure at the Central Bank, Mr. Subryan has played an active role in strengthening the institution’s governance framework through service on several internal committees, including the Tenders’ Committee, and as a Trustee of the CBTT Savings Plan.

Prior to joining the Central Bank, Mr. Subryan served as Senior Manager, Audit and Business Advisory Services at a leading international accounting firm, where he led major financial audit engagements, specialising in large financial services institutions. This experience further deepened his expertise in financial oversight, regulatory compliance, risk management and organisational leadership.

Mr. Subryan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT).
