Head Marketing, UTC, Hema Ramkissoon, presents Gifts of Units to local hero, Akil De Vignes at UTC’s Head Office, Port of Spain, for his act of bravery in rescuing a young child from danger in a Ferris Wheel incident.
In recognition of his incredible bravery, the Unit Trust Corporation (UTC) proudly presented a Gift of Units valued at $3,500 to local hero Akil De Vignes on Monday 28th July at UTC’s Head Office, Port-of-Spain.
Akil’s heroic action saw him climb a Ferris wheel to rescue a four-year-old child dangling from a pod at Movietown’s Amusement Park. Akil stated that as a father, seeing the child in danger, he “did not think twice about jumping into action.” His courage and selfless act highlight the strength and unity within our communities, serving as an inspiration to us all.
