For the second time in three years, St Benedict’s College has taken the 1st prize in the annual Unit Trust Corporation Schools’ Investment Game. “The Student Investment Game (SIG) is very interesting, it gives me an opportunity to keep abreast with the local investment market, it helps the student to do research both on-line and in the daily newspapers. As a teacher the game brings the subject of Economics to life in the class room”, said Mr Chandrahans Roopchand, teacher of the winning St. Benedict’s Team. the Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Marlon Holder to the position of
Executive Director to succeed Mr. Michael Alexander who retired at the end of

On December 1st 2005, the Trinidad & Tobago Unit Trust Corporation made a distribution of TT$92,644,949 to unitholders in its TT Dollar Money Market Fund (Second Unit Scheme). This represents an average payout of 5.40% (effective yield – 5.63%) for the three months ending November 30th 2005. This payout also marks the 65th distribution of the Money Market Fund and brings the total of funds disbursed from this Fund to $2,265,955,034 since its inception in September 1989.
