UTC Opens in Sangre Grande!

“What better place to plant the flag of determination and resolve than this town named for the 17th  century battle that gave it its name – Sangre Grande - “big blood” in English.”  These were the words spoken by Mr Clarry Benn – Executive Directorof the Unit Trust Corporation – at the opening ceremony of the Unit Trust Corporation in Sangre Grande on January 30th 2004.  The branch opened in response to the overwhelming demand by people of far-eastern Trinidad wanting a Unit Trust of Their own.  The people asked for it, so the UTC delivered.

Coupled with the branch opening, was the launch of the Corporation’s new Visa Electron International Debit Card.  This new product provides consumers with a higher level of convenience since it simplifies the process of customers ordering repurchase cheques at UTC and having to encash them at banks.  Now cutomers can use their VISA Electron card at over One Million Merchants worldwide.

The launch was officiated by the UTC’s Manager, Marketing, Mrs. Gayle Daniel Worrell and addresses were delivered by Clarry Benn, Executive Director of the UTC, T. Ainsworth Harewood, Chairman of the UTC, Michael Alexander, the President UTC Financial Services, the Chairman of the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation, Ronald Boynes, the Manager VISA International Latin America and the Caribbean Region, Roberto Gonzalez and the feature address was delivered by the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs and the MP for Toco/Manzanilla, the Honourable Roger Boynes.
