img3 Professor Joseph Eugene Stiglitz, who is an economist and a professor at Columbia University. He is a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences (2001) and the John Bates Clark Medal (1979). He is also the former Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank. He is known for his critical view of the management of globalization, free-market economists (whom he calls "free market fundamentalists") and some international institutions like the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

img3 Ali Velshi is best known for his work as an anchor and Chief Business Correspondent for CNN. Velshi executes several roles across CNN as the net work’s chief business correspondent, anchor of CNN Newsroom, host of Your $$$$$ and host of the “Ali V” podcast.  He has extensively reported on the global financial meltdown since 2008: the collapse of Fannie-Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG and Lehman Brothers; the U.S. government’s bailout plan; and the battle over the fate of the nation’s big three automakers. Velshi’s first book, Gimme My Money Back: Your Guide to Beating the Financial Crisis, was released in January 2009.

img3 Paula Boyer Kennedy is a Vice President at Cammack LaRhette Consulting in lower Manhattan. She is a subject matter expert on investing and financial education. Paula is a Certified Public Accountant (NJ) and Personal Financial Specialist and also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designations. Prior to CLC, Paula was a senior manager at Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche in their personal financial planning practices. Paula received a 2006 APEX award for her teamwork on a communications campaign for a Fortune Global 100 manufacturing company. She was named by Worth magazine as one of the 250 best financial advisors in America in 1999, 2001 and 2002.

david-vegara David Vegara Figueras is the Assistant Director, Western Hemisphere Department, of the International Monetary Fund. He was the Chairman of the EU's Prociclicallity Group in the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Finance (2008- 2009) and was the Chairman of the European Union’s Financial Services Committee in the same Ministry from 2005 to 2009. He also held the post of Secretary of State for Economic Affairs in the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Finance (2005- 2009).

img3 Winston Dookeran The Honourable Winston Dookeran is the Minister of Finance for Trinidad and Tobago. A former Governor of the Central Bank (1997-2002), he is a widely published author in the field of economic development in the Caribbean and was at one time a senior economist at UNECLAC (the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean). Minister Dookeran has served as a member of the Executive Board of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and as Governor of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB). He was also a lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of the West Indies for some fifteen years.

img3 Dr. Terrence Farrell, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (1992-1995) works in the area of Strategy and Business Development as Principal Consultant for Terrayanna Investments Limited. He is a director of Republic Bank Limited, Eastern Caribbean Financial Holdings Limited (St Lucia), as well as Caribbean Tales Worldwide Distribution, a recently formed startup for the distribution of Caribbean film and video. Dr. Farrell has worked extensively in both the private and public sectors.

img3 Ewart Williams has been the Governor of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago since July 2002 following a thirty-year career with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). During his IMF career he was the Fund’s Resident Representative to Jamaica; Assistant Director in charge of Central America and Mexico; and Deputy Director in the Western Hemisphere Department.

As an international banking and financial consultant he has advised a wide range of clients in London, Trinidad and Guyana. He was also the Associate Director in the U.K. Equity Sales Division of NatWest Limited, one of London’s leading stockbrokers.

He has also advised a number of US listed Cayman entities and Cayman subsidiaries of major multinationals on the areas of Cayman Islands law applicable to them. His expertise also includes investment fund products including hedge funds and private equity investment vehicles as well as the licensing of financial institutions and investment advisors.

img3 Ian D. Quan-Soon is President and Founder of IQ Financial Services, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisory firm based in New York City. He has more than 32 years of experience in the financial services industry as a stock and bond analyst, and Portfolio Manager. He was also a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors for six years. His Wall Street career includes positions at two major Wall Street investment-banking firms.

afra-raymond Afra Raymond is the Managing Director of Raymond and Pierre Limited. Over the last thirty years his special areas of interest have included Real Estate, Property Development, Land-Use Planning, Property Taxation and Property Financing. He is also the President of the Institute of Surveyors of Trinidad and Tobago (ISTT) and a member of the Board of Directors at Trinidad Building and Loan Association (TBLA).

chris-fojo Christopher Fojo has been involved in real estate advisory for over twenty years, throughout many of the islands in the Caribbean. His experience covers a wide range of real estate sectors including; commercial projects as well as single family and multifamily residential developments. He assists clients in both Florida and the Caribbean with: Investment Analysis, Asset Management Advisory, Market Analysis and Market Forecasting.

Ingrid-Lashley Ingrid Lashley is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Trinidad and Tobago Mortgage Finance Company Limited. Prior to joining TTMF, she spent eighteen years at Scotiabank in various senior positions in financial control, private banking, trusteeships and merchant banking. As General Manager of Scotiatrust and Merchant Bank Trinidad and Tobago Limited, she introduced foreign investment products to the Bank’s customers and expanded its mortgage portfolio three-fold.

mark-scott Mark Scott Mark has spent the last 20+ years working with clients in the US and Caribbean, in their Fixed Income portfolios. Prior to joining Oppenheimer in 2010, he spent 10 years with Morgan Keegan & Co., Inc. in their Institutional Fixed Income sales department. He has been a speaker on investment topics and has also authored and conducted investment product training programs on various types of fixed income securities available to institutional investors.

peter-hegel Peter Hegel is a managing director of the institutional Fixed Income Management group at Mesirow Financial. He is responsible for managing the mortgage-backed effort. His career in investment management spans 30 years. Prior to joining Mesirow Financial in 2005, Peter was a senior vice president and portfolio manager at Columbia Management. He was also a founding member of Van Kampen Funds, and served as chief investment officer for Xerox Life from 1986 to 2000.
