The Personal Financial Planner (PFP) is an online service which will calculate the returns of a user's investments. The PFP will generate estimated returns based on the parameters set by the user. This function will be coupled with the UTC Online Financial Calculator. In addition, the PFP will recommend to the user which UTC fund best suits his/her needs.

The Unit Trust Corporation Calculator presents an easy way to calculate future values. Future values can be real (the true worth of accumulated savings when taking the inflation rate into account) or nominal (the dollar value of accumulated savings). The user by simply imputing data for the respective variables can make future value calculations.

Lets take for example John, an investor, he wants to know what his money will grow to if he makes a lump sum investment of $10,000 and thereafter contributes $1,000.00 per month, he also believes that this investment will earn him a rate of return of 12% over a 10 year period. To solve this problem he must first select the investment pattern, whether lump sum, periodic, or lump sum and periodic, he selects lump sum and periodic. He also selects the type of periodic contribution, monthly, and proceeds to input values for lump sum and monthly payments, the length of time and the rate of return, immediately a nominal future value result is generated. To show the effect of inflation on his future value accumulation just input the inflation rate and the future value will be adjusted. This is the real future value.
